Portugal’s national team unites deep-rooted regional traditions with inventive pastry and viennoiserie techniques. Portuguese bakers have strong presence at major competitions, emphasising flavour, craftsmanship and storytelling. Notably, Elisabete Ferreira (Pão de Gimonde) has gained significant international recognition for her artisan breadmaking.
The team blends traditional recipes with contemporary presentation and participated in Bread in the City / SIGEP 2025.
The team is represented by Américo Couto, José Carlos Santos and José Miguel Leitão, all of whom have participated in international and European festivals, earning multiple distinctions and national awards such as “Best Bread in Portugal”, 2025.
