350 exhibitors, 130 Hosted Buyers and numerous side events at Artozyma and Detrop Boutique from April 2-4

With a total of 350 exhibitors (direct and indirect), participations from 23 countries and more than 130 Hosted Buyers from 22 countries, the Artozyma and Detrop Boutique exhibitions will be opened tomorrow, April 2 at the International Exhibition Center of Thessaloniki, which will last until April 4.

The dynamics of the bakery and confectionery sectors, as well as the Greek production of delicatessen products, is highlighted in this “twin” exhibition, the organization of which marks the restart of the TIF-Helexpo exhibition program.

The commercial visitors are, among others, importers with experience in the promotion and sale of Greek products abroad, distributors who supply large retail chains, delicatessen chains, importers of organic products, etc.

The 10th Artozyma is the largest exhibition organization of the bakery-confectionery branches in Greece and the Balkans for 2022, as it brings together the most important businesses of bakery and confectionery raw materials, as well as packaging and equipment. Among its parallel events stand out the 5th Panhellenic Bread Championship, which aims to promote the new generation of the industry, as well as the Bakery Lab with masterclasses from the National Baking Team and the Pastry Lab of the Master Confectioners Club of Greece with masterclasses from distinguished pastry chefs, which will highlight all the modern trends in confectionery and bakery.

Also, among the parallel events of Artozyma are the workshop of the Trade Union of Shopkeepers-Confectioners of Thessaloniki on the topic “The Bakery in the Digital Age”, the scientific workshop of the Panhellenic Union of Food Technologists on the topic “Artisanal bakery and confectionery, approach to modern challenges” and the conference of the Hellenic Celiac Society for the certification of gluten-free products.

The 30th Detrop Boutique brings to the fore innovation in food production, small Greek businesses exporting to international markets, delicatessen products and foods, modern sales and distribution channels and all the latest developments in the industry. In Detrop Boutique, the honored municipality is the Municipality of Pyrgos Ilia, a nutritionally “blessed” place, which produces countless basic food products, covering a large part of the needs of the country and not only, as every year its exports abroad in many products increase. At the stand of the Municipality of Pyrgos, many processing companies will participate, which produce PDO products of high nutritional value. and supply the domestic market, but also abroad.

Present at Detrop Boutique will be Greece of primary production and gastronomy with 7 Regions (Central Macedonia, Eastern Macedonia-Thrace, Northern Aegean, Central Greece, Peloponnese, Western Macedonia and Thessaly). Also participating are the Municipality of Gortynia, the Chamber of Larissa and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Thessaloniki, which subsidized 9 of its member companies.

The program of Detrop Boutique includes the Greek Bites Area and Cheese & Wine gastronomy and taste training events, while a special place is occupied by two international Greek olive and olive oil competitions, the result of the cooperation of TIF-Helexpo with the Scientific Club of Friends of Olive Oil and Olives “FILAIOS” . These are the “OLIVE OIL TROPHY” International Quality Competition for excellent olive oils and the “TABLE OLIVES TROPHY” International Quality Competition for table olives.

The two exhibitions will be opened tomorrow, Saturday, April 2, at 19:00 at booth 13 by the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Mr. Giorgos Georgantas.

The press conference

The president of TIF-Helexpo, Mr. Tasos Tzikas, referred to the restart of the exhibition program of the national exhibition organization with two exhibitions concerning a strategic sector of the Greek economy at today’s press conference ahead of the opening of Artozyma-Detrop Boutique. Speaking about the municipality of Pyrgos, an honored municipality at Detrop Boutique, he noted that the honor belongs to TIF-Helexpo, given its productive potential. At the same time, he underlined the participation of the regions.

The importance of bringing foreign buyers into contact with Greek products was emphasized by the managing director of TIF-Helexpo, Mr. Kyriakos Pozrikidis, who even recalled that the exhibition “twin” Artozyma-Detrop Boutique was the last one organized before the outbreak of the pandemic in 2020. He also presented all the events of the two exhibitions.
